Sunday's revealing of the BCS standings should not have Texas fans too upset, simply because Oklahoma still has one more chance to lose, while UT does not. On the odd chance that Missouri upsets the Sooners in this weekend's Big 12 championship game, then Texas could find a spot in the national championship game.
As goofy as that sounds, if Alabama can beat Florida, then Oklahoma and the Gators would all have two losses, and the voters would be left to choose between Texas, Penn State, USC (provided they can beat rival UCLA) and Texas Tech as one loss teams that have a shot.
And Texas is ranked ahead of all those squads in the BCS standings.
So it's not all bad for Texas. What will be more interesting is if Oklahoma does lose does that open the door for Tech to slip into the BCS, leaving Oklahoma on the outside looking in this year.

Oh well, it's the kind of chaos I want because this whole system is a joke. It keeps fans talking about it but it doesn't solve anything.

See ya,
Len Hayward

Oh no, Len--don't fret.

The Longhorns will be sitting at home watching two teams they handily beat play for the Big XII championship...BUT DON'T FRET!

Where's my black armband?
