for a lack of creativity.

We had tie-breakers lined up from here to tomorrow on how to crown a division champion when the Big 12 should have written something into their rules which would have allowed Texas vs. OU part II.
Fact is we are all belly-aching about Texas being dropped when the complaint should be why a Missouri team with three losses in conference is allowed to go. Of course, people will say someone from the north has to go. I asked, why? If the best teams are the in south, and this year they are (and it is not even close) then allow the two best to go at it. It is not like Missouri is in the top 15 or anything. Also the Tigers have already lost to two teams from the Big 12 South this year (Texas and Oklahoma State). Seriously when such a discrepancy exists, why can't we go to plan B?

Now for those who would say what about Tech? We say sorry. Unless the game is being played in Lubbock, Tech isn't the same league (although Leach's comment about graduation rate was gold). There is a reason no one has made an argument for the Red Raiders over the past week.

In the end, I'm just sorry I didn't come up with the idea earlier. Texas-OU II would have been a great second national semifinal (Florida-Alabama being the first).
