Shhh. Listen...

Venting is a way of expressing how we feel without someone else putting in their two cents. (If a question is asked-no answer is expected.) To vent, is therapy without the high price tag.

To Go or Not to Go???

Home for the Holidays - maybe.

A Jerry Springer episode has nothing on my family. We are actually very close, but pretty much go to the extreme whenever we get together. I don't think since us four kids graduated (many, many years ago) that we haven't gotten together with my mom or at my dads or grandparents without having some sort of blow up. I have learned over the years to agree to disagree but that saying might as well be spoken in Chinese with the rest of my family. Picture this: a small… Continue

Double Shot - Big Mistake!

So, I have decided to try to lose some weight before all the holiday parties, right? I thought what better way to begin than to start with a total body detox. I told myself that if I could get through the detox, then any diet would be possible to maintain afterward. This particular detox requires two different types of pills to be taken - one is a colon cleaner. Yep, I wrote it - a colon cleaner (cc)... It figures, that after a couple of days I experienced "no movement", so I decided to double t… Continue

DEAR ABBY: Loved one's final wishes honor unique individuals

DEAR ABBY: I’m writing to encourage “Wants to Do Right by Mama” (Jan. 25) to honor her mother’s final wishes regarding her burial attire and the position of her body. Several years ago, I sat down with my parents and we talked about their wishes for when they die. We discussed everything from the distribution of their assets to the type of funerals they want. I learned that my father would like a large tombstone, which is something I never knew, so I asked him to draw up exactly what he had in mind.

Smelly feet earn Midland boy a free vacation (+VIDEO)
