What a small part in size of our physical makeup. Some are larger than others, but the small are as deadly as the big. It is said that if man could control his tongue he could control the world. We exploit the realms of greatness, the interceding of…

Like Two Peas In A Pod

How many of us have heard this relished quote "like two peas in a pod"? Been around a long time and probably will continue to be. It has been applied to people, places, and things for a long time. It carries with it a variance of meanings, from being critical to being highly proclaimed. For example:

a. When we were children, and in our children, and in their children we say "like two peas in a pod". We say it when they are cute, in trouble, in life itself.

b. In adulthood we acquire lifelong f… Continue

Is anyone listening?

Is anyone listening when I cry out in pain
From my own dirty deeds now leaving stains
Is anyone listening when alone I die
Covered up by societies wrong cast upon I

Is anyone listening to the babies midnight wail
When from their baby cribs their little bodies fell
Is anyone listening to the single mother as she tries
To make ends meet for her children as tears fill her eyes

Is anyone listening to the awful shape we are in
All brought on by greed, deceit and lies from without and within
Is anyo… Continue

Dirty Little Girl From Shanty Town

The day was hot, sun shining down
No one noticed the dirty little girl from shanty town
Worn out clothes, worn out heart and soul
She often wonders what would make her whole

Midnight on a street corner in a city
No one noticed the dirty little teenager, such a pity
Had some money she had made selling her self on the street
Now here she was needing a fix, no shoes on her feet

She knew deep down inside she was loosing her battle
With the drugs she craved, now she felt the heart paddles
No one co… Continue

Another Broken Rose

Guess he had been going to that old dance hall in West, Texas for a spell
Getting on in years now, and life wasn't kind to him, matter of fact it had been hell
Each time he fell in love the other didn't feel the same he would suppose
Left alone again in his pain, he left behind another broken rose

One night it happened in 1969, recalled the event ever since it occurred
The old cowboy loosened his heart and his spurs for one dance with her
Like new born clover her fragrance entwined his very sou… Continue

Rusty And Broken

Rusty and broken she lay beside the fence within the wrecking yard. Just an old fender from an old Ford. Rusty and broken she was now abandoned and left to decay as the years rolled by. No body wanted her any more. No body noticed her any more. Just an old rusty and broken portion of a vehicle that had been gone for years. The wrecking yards are full of the rusty and broken. Once prized by their owners, once polished and shined by their owners, once tenderly cared for by their owners. When their… Continue

Watching a baseball game: It's the ultimate father, son experience

The sun had finally popped out from behind the puffy clouds. The small crowd in the stands was slowly expanding, eventually growing to almost 100 spectators. On the field, the players were being introduced by the man in the press box, the one behind the microphone. Each received polite applause. Then the sun went behind another cloud, only to re-emerge a few minutes later. It would be that way most of the afternoon. But that was OK ... because it wasn't long before the umpire yelled, "Play ball!"
