1. Which deserves to represent the Big XII South in the title game?

2. Regardless of wins and losses, which is the better team right now?

3. Which quarterback is more Heisman-worthy: McCoy, Harrell or Bradford?

ESPN.com says Texas has bigger wins, a lesser loss and a stronger strength of opponent than Oklahoma or Tech.

1. Texas Tech. Best team. despite loss to OU. they beat texas, which OU did not.

2. Texas Tech. Best team overall.

3. Of the three, Harrell. (Tebow will probably get it. or Notre Dame player). Big 12/PAC-10 players rarely considered by Heisman voters, no matter what their personal stats or team records are.)

ESPN is wrong. tu lost to tech (so far). which at the time was rated below them in rankings by two or more positions. TT (#2) lost to OU (#4) at time. tu still has to play A&M. tu has been heavily favored most of the time in the past when playing aggies. at least once it took major intervention by pro-tu officials for tu to get a win against a&m, aggies were 2-7 coming in to tu game and tu was 9-0. aggies led most of the game. outplayed tu. aggies intercepted ball on a fourth down play in their endzone. ball was on A&M 38 or 40. ten yards to go. should have gone over to aggies, even if interception was not allowed. interception was not allowed, but texas was given a fifth down (no penalty had occurred) and they got a first down on the ensuing play. then scored a TD, but didn't make extra point. final score was a&m 13, tu 9 (referees 6). wouldn't be a bit surprised if aggies beat tu this year. they have done so last two years in a row, with, as many pollsters pointed out, lesser talent than tu. (most pollsters/writers say tu always has better talent than any one in Big 12 south).

Texas (10-1) and #2 in BCS faces A&M, which is 4-7 so far. even a win over ags should not help much. OU (10-1) and ranked #3 (by less than .005 points in power ranking behind #2 tu) faces OSU, which is 9-2 (only two losses were to top-five ranked teams) and is ranked #7 in BCS standings. a solid win by OU over OSU should move them into #2, or possibly #1, if Bama loses, or wins by only one or two points against its final opponent.

agree with one commenter that NCAA Bowl Championship division needs a playoff. it would add luster to national championship. and add to regular season competition. my preference is for a 16-game playoff series using current bowl game sites. Conference champions of the 10 or eleven BCS conferences, top independents (if any are left, and only if they play at least 10 BCS teams and win at least 9 of those games), and second place teams from the four or five major college conferences with best record against non-conference BCS teams. teams would go through regional, quarterfinals, semifinals and then play for the championship. No more than 16 teams ever. this should eliminate the guesswork that leads to our current situation. and, can anyone imagine what a real college championship game would mean? it would be at least as big as the NCAA Final Four, the College World Series in baseball and the NFL's Super Bowl.
