THE MISSION

The Santa Rita Club is a volunteer organization serving the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum. Many volunteers work at the Museum in the Gift Shop, or as docents. We are always looking for new volunteers, especially as docents to tell the story of the Petroleum Industry.

BAG BROWN LUNCH

On Thursday, March 25th,2010, Debbie Frost will present, "West Texas Landscapes...Simplified. Join us and enjoy some great entertainment. Admission is FREE, and drinks and cookies are provided by the Petroleum Museum., and sponsored by the Hahl Proctor Charitable Trust. Time: 11:30 AM. The Brown Bag Lunches are sponsored bt the Hahl Proctor Charitable Trust.

THE CHAPARRALS
The Chaparral cars are not static displays at the Museum. Each car is driven a few laps around the circle at the Museum. The next event will be on Jan. 20th 2010, at 5:30 PM Call the Museum to be sure that plans have not been cancelled. The 2D will take to the road, as will other cars in comming months. This is the car that started the Chaparrals, and Jim Hall, on to World Wide recognition in the racing community..

THE LOVELL SKETCHES

The new temporary gallery exhibit will present the sketches of Tom Lovell..The exhibit is now open thru January, 2010. The Lovell Gallery has 14 paintings that were commissioned by George Abell. Tom Lovell is called, "The Story Teller with a Brush." His paintings are historic and factual, and the sketches
The next exhibit" GLORY DAYS OF RACING.' is scheduled for March 27th.
